The Lake Course is the championship course at Sky Lake Resort & Golf Club, about 45 km southwest of Hanoi. Korean architect Ahn Moon Hwan of Bori Golf Design routed it up and down through a chain of lakes around Van Son Lake, with rolling hills and mountains framing most holes. It is the harder of Sky Lake's two courses. The Vietnam Golf Association voted it the most challenging course in Vietnam in 2012 and 2013, and in 2015 Sky Lake was named Vietnam's best championship course. Fairways are wide enough for big hitters, but long uphill par 4s, contoured landing areas, steep greenside bunkers and multi-tiered greens reward finding the right side of each hole. From the back tees it plays more than 7,200 yards. The clubhouse overlooks the Lake Course, with views across Van Son Lake to the limestone hills. It has locker rooms with sauna and jacuzzi, a pro shop, and a restaurant serving Korean, Asian and Western food. A floodlit driving range with chipping and putting areas is there for warming up.
