The Sky Course is one of two 18-hole courses at Sky Lake Resort & Golf Club, about 45 km southwest of Hanoi beside Van Son Lake. Korean architect Ahn Moon Hwan of Bori Golf Design laid it out through native Vietnamese jungle, with the mountains of Chuong My as a backdrop. It is the more forgiving of the two courses. Fairways are generous and a missed shot costs less than it does on the Lake Course, so it suits golfers of every level. It still plays long, at more than 7,200 yards from the back tees, and elevated greens and changes of elevation keep it a proper test. The signature 15th, "Dien Bien Phu", named after the historic battle, is a risk-and-reward par 4 to a hilltop green. The clubhouse overlooks the Lake Course, with views across Van Son Lake to the limestone hills. It has locker rooms with sauna and jacuzzi, a pro shop, and a restaurant serving Korean, Asian and Western food. A floodlit driving range with chipping and putting areas is there for warming up.
