About

Yen Bai Star Golf and Resort sits at the foot of the mountains in Duc Quan, in the former Yen Bai province (now part of Lao Cai), about 90 minutes from Noi Bai Airport. The 210-hectare site looks out over Minh Quan lake, with palm hills, tea hills and cinnamon plantings kept from the original landscape. The 27 holes were designed by Peter John Waddell and are split into three nines. Que (Cinnamon) zig-zags along natural ridges with mostly elevated tees; Co (Palm) is more open with long fairways and plenty of bunkers; Che (Tea) wraps around a large lake, with water across and beside several holes. The club officially opened in April 2024. The 10,000 m2 clubhouse has a 500-seat restaurant, wine cellar, VIP rooms, locker rooms with sauna and jacuzzi, and a pro shop. There is a 280-yard driving range, a 2,000-guest event hall and a 127-room hotel with suites and private-pool villas.
